Sales Training Manager Overview: We are seeking a Training Manager to join our team! The Sales Training Manager is responsible for overseeing the Sales department training content and development of the Sales team. This position is responsible for proactively ensuring that each salesperson is equipped with the proper sales skills, ongoing product knowledge, and understands
Utility Concierge’s selling process to be successful in their role.

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 (Based on experience)

Sales Training Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management or related field 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sales Trainer, to include creating Sales training content
  • Must be able to graduate from the Utility Concierge Rookie program and perform as Junior Concierge to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the organization’s products, processes, services, customers, partners, and sales techniques 
  • Experience in a Sales or Customer Service training role in a call center environment
  • Demonstrated passion for teaching and providing training, motivation and coaching to help others learn and develop 
  • Demonstrated understanding ability to adapt to learning styles to ensure content comprehension and application 
  • Maintains a high level of engagement by producing an energetic training environment
  • Ability to learn and train others on Utility Concierge product offerings and its selling process
  • Ability to influence others and build team talent 
  • Strong interpersonal, writing and presentation skills 
  • Demonstrates high attention to detail


?Sales Training Manager Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management of the full employee lifecycle of Sales Training team members o Participates in interviewing and the selection of personnel for Sales Trainer positions; completes offboarding activities 
  • Provides training and coaching to Sales Training team members 
  • Ensures the necessary resources and tools are available to Sales Training team members for quality training content delivery and training support
  • Serves as a resource and holds Sales Training team members accountable for following key Sales Training processes and programs to include issuing corrective action; communicates job expectations to the Sales Training team 
  • Evaluates, prepares, and delivers employee performance evaluations 
  • Enforces company policies and procedures


Essential Job Functions/Duties:

  • Evaluates instructor and sales team members’ performance to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement and to identify current and future training needs in support of company goals and initiatives
  • Partners with senior Sales leadership to assess training needs and develop programs focused on product knowledge and effective sales techniques that will enable sales team to maximize revenue potential
  • Develop and execute interactive new hire training and continuing education training for all Sales team members through on-the-job training, one-on-one and group coaching sessions to develop sales skills and drive productivity improvement, covering topics such as software use, interpersonal skills, quality and process issues, and product knowledge
  • Creates, publishes, and delivers sales training programs/content to include micro-learning lessons for new product launches; Maintains a call library with demonstrated best practices
  • Develops testing and evaluation procedures to develop team members’ sales skills (e.g., call scoring and coaching program, certification process relative to sales skills, product knowledge, and process adherence, etc.)
  • Stays current on sales training best practices and Utility Concierge product and process knowledge to incorporate information into Utility Concierge’s training program
  • Executes and delivers quarterly project/department goals on-time
  • Other job duties as assigned and deemed appropriate by management
