position provides overall clinical and operational management of an
ambulatory/outpatient practice or practices in collaboration with
the Director and/or Sr. Director. Provides leadership for the
patient care area(s) with specific operational and management
oversight of the patient care area(s). Accountable for the
performance and results of the patient care area(s). Oversees the
execution of short- and long-term strategies in support of
organizational goals pertinent to the practice/s. Establishes and
ensures compliance with standards of care, as well as maintains
accountability for staffing, quality, safety, service and clinical
excellence throughout the practice/s. Maintains integral
relationships with medical staff leadership. Accountable for the
implementation and proper application of policies, programs and
services as established by federal and state regulatory bodies.
Researches, identifies and implements initiatives and opportunities
to improve effectiveness of management and patient/family centered
care within the practice/s. Provides guidance, coaching and
feedback to team members. Makes employment decisions for the team.
Monitors quality metrics and changes in practice that impact
clinical, financial or operational outcomes and develops plans to
address areas for improvement. Monitors and manages a budget for
defined area(s) of responsibility. Provides technical guidance to
others as needed for non-routine and / or complex problems /
situations. May provide direct patient care occasionally if
staffing levels and patient volumes require it.Responsibilities
- Manages operations of assigned clinic/s and/or service lines;
ensures compliance with standards of clinical care; maintains
accountability for quality, safety, service, and operational
excellence.
- Works closely with Children's leadership, medical directors,
physician providers and administrative and clinical staff in a
collaborative approach to ensure excellence in service and clinical
care, optimal outcomes, and efficient resource utilization.
- Uses clinical judgment based on professional clinical skills
acquired through formal and informal experiential knowledge and
evidence-based guidelines to globally assess situations and through
critical thinking and clinical decision making, develop an
appropriate plan of action to resolve situations that have been
escalated. Ensures that all staff members are accountable, and that
patient care meets the standards of safety, effectiveness, patient
rights and guest relations. Ensures that all staff members deliver
competent and skilled care to patients and families according to
their identified needs and does so with a team-orientation, an
emphasis on good customer relations, sound clinical judgment and
appropriate decision-making abilities that take into consideration
evidence-based practice.
- Reviews, analyzes, and collaboratively resolves operational
issues including (but not limited to) medical staff and patient
family concerns.
- Establishes, implements and regularly reviews department policy
and procedures for compliance with all regulatory requirements as
well as alignment with organization policy and overall organization
strategy and mission; adheres to all regulatory requirements.
- May coordinate multi-disciplinary, single-day clinics and/or
specialty programs and services in various locations.
- Responsible for staff leadership, performance management,
professional development, clinical competency, recruitment and
retention of staff in assigned clinics and/or service lines.
Coaches and mentors licensed team members.
- Works with Director and/or Sr. Director to develop long-term
strategic plan(s) for assigned clinics and/or service lines; with
Director and physician leadership, outlines 5- and 10-year goals
for assigned clinics and/or service lines; participates in planning
process for program/service development and expansion.
- Monitors, analyzes and reports on financial and budgetary
performance. Oversees initiation of capital requests and new
programs and develops and oversees contracts specific to areas of
oversight. Monitors efficiency and effectiveness of billing process
and patient charges.
- Ensures that all team members in assigned area are responsible
and accountable for prescribing, delegating and coordinating
patient care.
- Ensures that all team members deliver competent and skilled
care to patients and families according to their identified needs
and with a team-orientation, an emphasis on good customer
relations, sound judgment and appropriate decision-making
abilities.
- May provide direct patient care based on operational need and
current clinical competencies
- Participates in division level evidenced-based clinical
decision making and contributes to system-level clinical policy
development and reviews. Additionally, may participate in
clinically driven shared governance committees.Work ExperienceHow

- At least 4 years Related experience Required
- At least 1 year Management experience RequiredEDUCATION
- Four-year Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN). Required
- Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent
experience PreferredLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Professional licensure in nursing
- Current license to practice professional nursing in the State
of Texas,

- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP
