POSITION TITLE: Mosquito Squad of Fort Worth Operations Manager Location: Haltom City, TX SUMMARY OF ROLE: The Operations Site Manager plays an active role in the research, planning and implementation of strategies that align with business goals, as established by the business owner. The Operations Manager is expected to lead by example, hiring, training and motivating staff to meet and exceed their personal and professional goals while maintaining a positive and rewarding work environment. The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day activities of the company, ensuring that the organization is managed and performing efficiently and effectively._Supervisory Responsibilities: _ Participates in the hiring and training of operations leadership and other staff. Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of the operations team. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, including but not limited to: Directs supervision of employees_, _with heavy involvement in the hiring, orientation, training, development, performance management, leadership and advancement of all operations staff. Daily scheduling of routes, employees and assets. Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company's efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement. Implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations. Ensures work environments are adequate and safe. Oversees field technician department, ensuring it is reaching goals set by departmental and company leadership. Plans, directs, controls, implements, evaluates, monitors, and forecasts budgets and cost of sales in each division to achieve financial objectives. Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to managers; for major changes, meets with entire operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale. Improves customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes. Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community. Provides regular and recurring goal setting, mentoring & feedback to all direct reports. Assists with strategic planning, including suggested changes to marketing and business plans. Sustains a work environment that builds positive professional relationships, creates accountability and rewards performance. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to complete ownership of business operations. Proactively oversees and implements policies & procedures and work closely with Office Manager. Maintains and improves operations by monitoring performance, identifying and resolving problems, preparing and completing action plans. Meets financial objectives by monitoring inventory levels, purchase local supplies for installations. Ensures all business equipment is in safe and proper working order. Schedules care and maintenance for Company vehicles. Accomplishes organization goals by exploring innovations, establishing best practices and if necessary, perform applications and sprays. Other duties as assigned. Exceptional interpersonal skills and human relation skills that positively benefits interaction with staff, partners and external clientele. Ability to work both independently and as a team player. Must be detailed oriented, able to plan, prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent managerial skills with an understanding of how to hire employees who fit job requirements. Ability to teach, train, mentor, evaluate and motivate staff. Good decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze information, evaluate results, and implement the best solution to solve problems or challenges. Good comprehension and communication skills, with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through written and verbal communication. Experience in providing effective and documented coaching and feedback, the courage to verbally counsel below expectation employees. Ability to exercise good judgment and self-control. Enthusiasm, good attitude, trustworthiness, personal integrity and honesty. Ability to work autonomously and understand when a superior need to be involved in decision making. Self-motivated, with a dedication to keeping up to date technically, and applying new knowledge to your job. This includes passing any state required training for applying pesticides. Demonstrated ability to operate safely in the workplace, with experience in holding peers and direct reports accountable to safety standards. Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers, customers, vendors, etc. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school graduate or equivalent, and two-year degree is preferred. Preferred Minimum of 3-year experience in pest control, or equivalent education. A candidate with a strong background in management and leadership will be trained and educated in pest control while on the job. Computer skills, with a strong working knowledge of the primary Microsoft Office programs and GPS. Ability to successfully pass a background check, including valid driver's license and a clean driving record, and other pre-employment screening. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Able to lift & carry items up to 60 lbs. Able to sit at a desk comfortably while working on a computer, for extended periods of time. Frequently move the whole body to perform tasks such as, lifting, walking, carrying, pushing, pulling the handling of materials. Stand or walk for periods of time. Stoop, kneel, and crouch in awkward positions.
