Engineer – Nuclear Power Plant Location: Onsite – Glen Rose, Texas
Employment Type: Long Term assignment, excellent compensation and
benefits. Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled
experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at the Glen Rose
nuclear power facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong
background in electrical engineering and extensive experience in
nuclear power plant operations, instrumentation and control
(I&C), and distributed control systems (DCS). This role
requires hands-on expertise with the hardware and software of
Siemens TXP and T3000 systems, as well as a solid understanding of
power plant maintenance and operational practices. Requirements Key
Responsibilities: Provide technical support for electrical systems
within the nuclear power plant. Maintain and troubleshoot I\&C
systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. Configure,
maintain, and optimize Siemens TXP and T3000 DCS platforms.
Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to resolve system
issues and implement improvements. Ensure compliance with all
regulatory and safety standards. Participate in system upgrades,
testing, and commissioning activities. Prepare technical
documentation, reports, and procedures as required. Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or
equivalent discipline. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in nuclear
power plant operations or maintenance. Proven experience with
I&C systems and DCS platforms. Hands-on experience with Siemens
TXP and T3000 systems is required. Knowledgeable in the turbine
governor control system (SIMADYN) Experience with PLC programming
(ladder logic, function block diagrams) and industrial control
software (e.g., RSLogix, Unity Pro, WinCC). Strong knowledge of
power plant electrical systems and safety protocols. Excellent
problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work onsite in
Glen Rose, Texas. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with NRC, NERC
regulations and industry standards. Familiarity with electrical
codes such as IEEE and NEC Experience in system upgrades and
modernization projets Strong communication and teamwork
abilities.
