Job Description:

ABM, a leader in comprehensive facility solutions, is seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper to join our Facilities team. This role is crucial for ensuring the aesthetic and functional integrity of our client's outdoor environments. The ideal candidate will maintain grounds using hand or power tools or equipment, performing a range of tasks including sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, and raking. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for outdoor work, and a dedication to environmental beautification. Perform groundskeeping and building maintenance duties. Mow lawn either by hand or using a riding lawnmower. Trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls. Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes. Apply pesticide to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitos, wasps, ticks, and others. Apply fertilizer to ground to enhance growth. Shovel snow from walkways and sprinkle ice down to keep public passages safe. Perform routine maintenance duties such as applying plaster, fixing fountains, and other duties. Sweep walkway of debris. Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger. Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping. Install lawn furniture. Proficiency in using manual and power tools Strong physical endurance for manual labor Ability to handle a variety of outdoor tasks Knowledge of synthetic and natural pesticides Familiarity with basic landscaping and gardening tools Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Pesticide Application Certification preferred Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) desirable
