Job Description:

Waste Connections, a leader in integrated waste services, is seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations within our engineering and maintenance department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the optimal performance of our waste management facilities during the 2nd shift operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of maintenance technicians and ensuring the adherence to safety standards and efficiency in waste management practices. Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of maintenance staff during the 2nd shift. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of waste processing equipment and machinery to ensure operational efficiency. Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize unplanned downtime. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, providing timely and effective resolution. Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies. Develop and maintain a strong teamwork atmosphere and provide training to new and existing staff. Prepare and submit maintenance reports and reviews of shift activities. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and PLCs. Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) is preferred. OSHA Safety Training certification.
